Posada thrives because of generous individuals, families, organizations, and partners who give their time, resources, and financial support. Your involvement helps ensure that people in Pueblo have access to safe housing, essential services, and meaningful opportunities to rebuild their lives.

Ways to Donate

Monetary Donations

Financial contributions support housing programs, emergency temporary shelter, youth services, outreach efforts, and essential items for individuals and families. Your donation helps provide safe housing, case management, daily necessities, and long-term stability.

Homeless Contribution Tax Credit (HCTC)

Your contribution may qualify for the Colorado unhoused Contribution Income Tax Credit.

Key details include:

  • Donations of 100 dollars or more may be eligible

  • The tax credit equals 25 percent of your contribution

  • The maximum credited amount is 100,000 dollars per donor per tax year

  • In-kind donations valued at 5,000 dollars or more may qualify

  • A donor’s full Social Security Number is required for the certificate

Items donated help ensure that those entering the emergency temporary shelter have comfort, hygiene, and stability.

Volunteers play an essential role in Posada’s ability to serve the community. Your time, experience, and skills provide meaningful support to people who are working to create stability in their lives.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome individuals and groups with skills such as:

  • Maintenance and repair

  • Landscaping and property care

  • Support for special projects

  • Organizations interested in adopting a room at the Elko Family Emergency Shelter

Adopting a room helps create a clean, welcoming, and dignified space for families in need of shelter.
