Housing and Urban Development - Veterans Affairs Supported Housing (HUD-VASH) Program The HUD-VASH program was born to help homeless Veteran families. It provides case management and community support services to keep Veteran families in permanent safe and decent housing in the community. Eligible Veterans accepted into this program will have a Section 8 "Housing Choice" voucher from the local PHA and case management from the VA to include: Recovery Support for physical health, mental health, and substance abuse, New Skills such as credit repair, social skills, money skills, and Access to Community Resources. The goal is to help you stay stable and housed in your community. You are eligible if you are a VA healthcare eligible Veteran, are homeless, are in need of case management services, and want to participate in your recovery program.
