Glendale 4's grant was not renewed this year, and Program Director Jolene Hausman has left to pursue other career opportunities. We will miss her and wish her the best in her new endeavors! There will still be HIV/AIDS programs through SCAP and PCHC available in Pueblo, and SCAP's new case manager will be housed in the Glendale4 building. David Peterson will continue to run the support group and the SAFE NA meetings. The support group will continue to meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month with a new meeting time of 2:30 p.m. The meeting is open to anyone experiencing addiction issues. The meeting will be a SAFE meeting, which means it is open and affirming to all lifestyles, sexuality and is nondiscriminatory. Lou Mercer would like to continue the monthly social luncheons. (Our monthly social luncheon is the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Noon. The social luncheon is open to any affected/effected by HIV/AIDS.) The Glendale4 model could continue to run with the help and support of volunteers. We are seeking volunteers to answer phones, the door, and chat with drop-in visitors. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact your SCAP case manager, David Petersen at 719-236-1416 or Posada.
